It Takes a Village—and Takayla Is Proof
Takayla graduated from our Access Program and went on to work for a Village Partner employer who believed in the power of dignified wages. She found stability and purpose at Gather.
When Gather closed its doors, Takayla returned to Lovely Village—now serving as our production coordinator. Her journey shows how wraparound support and steady community matter for women and their kids.
Last week, the City of Waco invested in our safe housing project. This will fund two years of rent-free, stable housing for women in our residential program.
During those two years, women will earn living wages and save, so when they graduate, they’re positioned for long-term success.
It takes a village—safe housing, stable community, and living wages—to build sustainable success.
Phase 1: Finding Home, is our current campaign focused on apartment complex renovation, key staff hires, and program operations. The cost of Phase 1 is $2.53M. Because of YOUR generosity, the remaining amount needed to fulfill this goal is $713,000.
