APPLY FOR WILDTORCH 2026

The gift of song is one of the most powerful forces of love. WildTorch: Love Songs for Lovely Village 2025 is looking for Waco’s hidden crooners who want to lift their voices on behalf of survivors. Lovely Village (formerly Jesus Said Love) is a healing community for survivors of sexual exploitation, trauma and trafficking (hyperlink). 2025 is the 10th anniversary of WildTorch where we use the visual and performing arts to raise awareness and funds for Lovely Village (formerly Jesus Said Love). WildTorch 2024: Love Songs for Lovely Village was such a success  that we’re singing our hearts out again with your help!

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Singers (adults or kids, with parental consent) who are willing to do their best onstage. 

  • Solo’s, Duets or Trio’s are welcome but fundraising commitments are adjusted per person.


Here are the terms of our flaming fundraiser:

  • Singers will compete to raise funds for Lovely Village and commit to securing $5K through ticket sales, private contributions, and/or corporate sponsorships. 

  • Duets are welcome to apply but must secure $10K for Lovely Village.

  • Trio’s are welcome to apply but must secure $15K for Lovely Village.

  • Every vocalist will receive fundraising tools from Lovely Village which include press and social media kit - we can make this easy for you!

  • Singers will receive 4 private vocal coaching sessions and 1 dress rehearsal before they take the stage to sing live at the historic Waco Hippodrome. (We can help you choose a song that fits your authentic voice!)

  • Vocalists will be backed by a live band of professional musicians.

  • WildTorch artists will perform one song of their choice on September 4th, 2025. 

  • No costumes, hair or makeup services are provided.

  • No free event tickets will be provided as ticket sales are a part of fundraising for Lovely Village. 

  • Professional photography and video will be provided for each singer to keep for personal use. 

  • Potential singers will submit an application for consideration and be notified via text or email if they are invited to compete. (click here for application)

  • Best Male 

  • Best Female

  • Most Surprising   

  • The Voice of WildTorch - raising the most dollars for survivors
